Accessibility statement

Voluntary self-declaration made by Broggian Group S.r.l., pursuant to Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services, transposed in Italy by Legislative Decree 82/2022.

Our commitment

Broggian Group S.r.l. attends to the accessibility of its e-commerce website www.mimimilano.com, so that anyone can browse it, choose a jewel and complete a purchase independently, in their own way of reading and navigating.

The reference standard

The site is built in accordance with the European standard EN 301 549, which for the web refers to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. Those criteria rest on four principles: pages are perceivable, operable, understandable and technically robust.

Conformity status

The site is partially conformant with the WCAG 2.1 level AA criteria. The assessment is carried out internally on the code and on the rendering of the pages that make up the purchase path: navigation, the list of jewels, the product page, the cart and the checkout.

Conformity remains partial for a single reason: the components supplied by third-party services integrated into the site — the checkout and the sign-up forms — follow the accessibility of their respective providers and lie outside the maison's direct control. For these components Broggian Group S.r.l. urges the provider to bring them into compliance and offers an alternative route: anyone who encounters a barrier can complete their order with the assistance of a person, by telephone or by e-mail.

What has been attended to

  • Visible focus. Keyboard users see a clear outline on every link, button, field and collapsible item, on every page of the site. The outline is a double ring, dark inside and light outside, so that it remains legible even over full-width photographs.
  • Skip to content. On the first tab stop a link appears that leads directly to the page content, past the header and the menu.
  • Text contrast. The smaller texts — the technical details of the jewel, the index of questions, the footer, the company details, the line of payment methods — meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio required by level AA.
  • Names of controls. The favourites heart, the colour variant selector and the controls on the favourites page announce their state and carry a name that matches the label written on screen, as required by success criterion 2.5.3.
  • Heading structure. Every page has a first-level heading and an ordered hierarchy of internal headings: this is how a screen reader finds its bearings and reads out the outline of the page.
  • Image descriptions. Photographs of the jewels carry alternative text stating the model, the material and the type of pearl. The editorial images on the pages — the archive works, the photographs of pearls — carry a description of their own, alongside the caption that states author, date and source. Opening photographs only, those over which the page title is superimposed, carry empty alternative text: they are decorative, and the screen reader passes over them to read the title.
  • Forms. Every field in the site's forms carries a linked label, an indication of the type of data expected and browser autocomplete where the data is personal.
  • Language and collapsible items. The pages declare the language of the document; collapsible items are native document elements and communicate their open and closed state, with a graphic sign and a difference in colour that say the same thing to sighted users.
  • Resizable text. Content remains legible and controls remain reachable even when the page is enlarged to 200 per cent.
  • Less motion on request. Anyone who has set a preference for reduced motion on their device sees the site with animations and automatic scrolling suspended.

How to report a barrier

Anyone who encounters difficulty in accessing a page, a piece of content or a function of the site can report it, and will receive a reply within thirty days. The report may also concern a request to obtain, in an accessible form, content that is currently difficult to read.
