The Beginning: Fausto Broggian's Vision

The family's entrepreneurial adventure
Broggian began in the late 1950s, when Fausto Broggian founded, together with his brothers, the first company in Milan, specialized in the selection and marketing of diamonds.
His pioneering explorations take him to Burma, Afghanistan and Pakistan, in search of the rarest and most precious gems. His approach combines commercial acumen, a passion for beauty and a deep knowledge of the craft.
Fausto is among the founders of the Italian Gemological Institute (IGI) and provides the first master-stones for diamond certification. He is admitted to the Antwerp Diamond Bourse, a symbol of international authority.

1980s
THE PEARL
In the 1980s, the Broggian family became the official partner for Italy of Mikimoto, a world pioneer of cultured pearls. This relationship was a turning point: an aesthetic and cultural affinity with the world of pearls was born, which would lead to the birth of a new language in jewelry.

90's
Since the 90s, the Broggian family has been creating and
develops the Compagnia delle Perle, a line of high-end pearl jewelry made entirely in Italy, which represents the top of the range in the sector.
Better known as Collezione Milano, it is an example of artisanal excellence, selective quality and creative vision.
This project marks a fundamental stage in the creative journey of the Broggian family, paving the way for a new idea of jewelry: authentic, elegant, essential.

In 2000 MIMI was officially born, the brand that embodies the modern soul of the Broggian family. MIMI is jewelry
contemporary, made of extraordinary pearls, bold color combinations and refined design. A feminine, Milanese, wearable, immediately recognizable aesthetic.
In 2010, she celebrated her first 10 years with the publication of the book “10 Years MIMI”, a visual and narrative collection of her unmistakable style.
Meanwhile, the Broggian family also becomes the exclusive distributor in Italy and Malta of the French brand Chaumet, one of the most prestigious names in European fine jewellery and watchmaking.

2010–2018: MIMI in the world
The brand's international presence is consolidated. The MIMI boutique opens in Via Gesù in Milan, marking the brand's debut in one of the most iconic streets of international luxury. New strategic openings follow: the prestigious Ginza Six in Tokyo, the Tsum department store in Moscow and the Dlt headquarters in St. Petersburg.
Meanwhile, the brand regularly participates in key international fairs such as Baselworld, Couture in Las Vegas, Doha Exhibition and Bahrain Jewellery, consolidating its global visibility.
MIMI also exhibits at the Museo Poldi Pezzoli (2015) and the Triennale di Milano (2016), events that celebrate the excellence of Made in Italy and Italian goldsmith art.

Since 2018, MIMI has been present in over 40 countries worldwide.
Thanks to the great experience gained in the world of pearls, the exclusive design of the Milano Collection, the patented tension system and a feminine and innovative aesthetic, the brand has established itself as a point of reference in contemporary pearl jewellery.
The leadership of the brand is now in the hands of
Marco and Ilaria Broggian, second generation of the family. Milanese by adoption, passionate about beauty, design and culture, they carry on their father's values with an eye to the future.
