Late 1950 The Company was founded in Milan by Fausto Broggian, he started a family entrepreneurial experience in selective distribution, trading diamonds and distributing watches straps through Italy.
1973 Broggian is recognized in Diamonds trading, the company is among the founders of italian Gemological institute IGI and official members of the Antwerp Diamond bourse.
1980 Broggian extends its local expertise to Global luxury distribution as Mikimoto sole distributor in Italy, Switzerland and South of Europe . Also starts a new entrepreneurial journey with the creation of « Milano collection » a Mikimoto fine jewelry collection designed and manufactured in Italy. Member of « Club deli Orafi Italia », Broggian sustain the values of excellence made in Italy: style, craftsmanship, tradition, culture and creativity.
2000 Broggian creates MIMI a creative fine jewelry that reveals the new luxury of simplicity; MIMI jewels represented the image of an independent and stylish woman who chose her own jewelry. The brand presence is developed through a selective distribution in the Italian market. Also Broggian diversifies the distribution business and introduces Chaumet as exclusive distributor of watches and jewelry in Italy and Malta.
2010 MIMI book, a milestone to celebrate the 10 years of Creation. MIMI consolidates an international presence in Europe, Middle east and South America.
2012 Opening of the first MIMI boutique in Milano, on Via Gesù 3. Successive international presence in major places such TSUM in Moscow, DLT in saint Petersburg, Isetan in Tokyo and « Doha fair », « Bahrein jewelry fair » or Las vegas fair.
2015 MIMI exhibits at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum in Milano « Jewelry-Art and Nourishment for the Soul ». The exhibition portrays the excellence, ability and refinement of Made in Italy production and the legacy of expertise that is unique to this sector. Broggian consolidates its diamonds collection Broggian Milano also developed under Major jeweller’s Private label.
2016 MIMI first international boutique opening in Tokyo, in Ginza 6. MIMI exhibits at the Milan Triennale International exhibition « Brilliant! The future of italian jewellery». the exhibition reposition italian jewellery among the arts, highlighting not only its flair for craftsmanship but also its technological innovation, paradigm of tradition and future possibilities.
2018 The brand celebrates its 18th anniversary and reinvents the message of modernity that is in its DNA with a new image, a new logo, new collections - FreeVola and Giulietta & Romeo - and a new product environment. Today MIMI is a new luxury jewelry brand with a presence over XX countries.
